Registration FAQ's

Log onto https://brls.govsomaliland.org and click Register, you will receive instructions on all that is required to register a new account

With your BRLS portal account you can submit a Name Search, register a Business, and obtain your Business License with the Ministry of Trade and Tourism online in real time. You can also conveniently make payment for these applications from the comfort of your home; 24/7 a year

To register a business in Somaliland; you would need to conduct a name search of the business. You can achieve this using your BRLS account

Yes, you can use the same National ID but a different email address to create multiple BRLS accounts 

You will have to speak with the Ministry of Trade & Tourism officials through their hotline to assist you for re-registration with the BRLS system.
This service is available for anybody to use from anywhere in the world at any point in time provided that you arrange with a person located in Somaliland to facilitate the invoice payment through mobile money.
Once your application has been processed; you would receive an email notification and an SMS notification in your officially registered email address. Then on logging in to your BRLS account, you would be able to see the status of your application as well as view all related comments on it.
On the login page you need click Forgot Password? Link to rest your password and you will be asked to provide your email address used during account creation. The BRLS system will send you an email with further instruction on how to reset and change your password.
Currently you can only pay through mobile money; that is ZAAD and eDAHAB.

Licensing FAQ's

TIN number is optional for a new license application and mandatory for license renewal.
Yes, provided that you include the other business activities you want to do during the business registration application.
Yes, if you don’t renew one month after the expiry date, you will incur a penalty for every month you have defaulted.
